ARMA Arizona Chapter - Nvember 2016 Meeting

Electronic records are needy—they require sustenance, shelter and constant attention. November’s presentation will focus on the best practices for preserving electronic records with attention to common scenarios record managers are likely to encounter. E-records come in a cornucopia of various formats, carrier media and conditions that present a unique set of challenges in the world of records management. Our discussion will address common problems and dispel common misconceptions including long-term storage and the digitization of analog materials. Participants are encouraged to think about the issues they are currently facing in their own institutions and we will end by discussing practical and manageable steps for everyday electronic records management.
